The untold story of the warriors who go to war and the families who wait.
“Last Out” is a one-act play drawn from the experiences of America’s longest war, blending heartfelt storytelling with a unique cast of combat veterans and military family members.
The play explores the unseen costs of war, focusing on the emotional and mental toll on our nation’s defenders and their families.
Storytelling has been a time-honored tradition to help warriors heal and reintegrate into society.
This play vividly brings to life the stories of our nation’s defenders and their families, promoting healing, connection, and understanding. Warriors and families who attend Last Out find a profound sense of validation and community.
The abrupt end to the war in Afghanistan left 800,000 veterans and their families feeling betrayed, sparking a mental health crisis.
Many veterans feel abandoned by society and are withdrawing from leadership roles, while military recruitment plummets.
This play sheds light on the struggles of veterans, encouraging civilians and leaders to truly understand their sacrifices.
